American Girl dolls have been a favorite children’s toy for over 30 years. The historical dolls and Girl-of-the-year dolls were seeing successful sales, however, the My American Girl dolls’ popularity was falling behind. The two aforementioned doll lines feature books that detail the stories of the characters they represent.
‘Share Your Story’ was born to position the My American Girl line as the doll that can help you tell your own story, because she looks just like you. Using a scrap book style combining illustration, live video and photography we demonstrated that any girl can express herself and tell her story through her look-alike doll.
